Sketch Party
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 23 September 2026
This policy explains how Sketch Party handles information when you use the Sketch Party website or mobile app.
Information used by the game
Solo colouring does not require an account. Your solo best score and sound preference are stored locally on your device or in your browser and are not uploaded to Sketch Party.
When you use multiplayer, the game processes the nickname and avatar you choose, room code, chat or guesses you submit, drawing actions, votes, scores and other actions needed to run the room. Please do not use your real name or include personal information in chat.
The server also processes technical connection information, including IP addresses, to deliver the service, maintain security and limit abuse. Rate-limit records expire after a short period. Hosting and network providers may retain ordinary security and request logs under their own retention policies.
How information is used
- To create rooms and operate real-time multiplayer games.
- To show messages, drawings and scores to players in the same room.
- To prevent spam, profanity and misuse, and to keep the service reliable.
- To diagnose technical problems and protect the service.
Storage and retention
Sketch Party does not provide user accounts or permanent multiplayer profiles. Active room data is held in server memory and is removed when the room closes or all players leave. Restarting the server also clears active rooms. Local preferences and solo scores remain on your device until you clear the app or browser storage.
Sharing and advertising
Sketch Party does not sell personal information and does not use advertising or analytics SDKs. Multiplayer content is shared with the other people in your room. Technical information may be processed by infrastructure providers only as needed to host, secure and deliver the service, or when required by law.
Security
The public service uses HTTPS and secure WebSocket connections. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so avoid sharing sensitive information in player names or chat.
Children
Sketch Party is a general-audience game and is not specifically directed to children under 13. A parent or guardian should supervise a child’s multiplayer use and remind them not to share personal information.
Your choices
You can leave a multiplayer room at any time. You can remove local preferences and scores by clearing the app’s storage or the website’s stored data. Because multiplayer rooms are temporary and are not linked to an account, Sketch Party usually cannot identify or retrieve a particular player’s data after a room has closed.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated when the game or its data practices change. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
